a collection of digitally made collages on the perception of the human body through the lens of thermal imagery cameras used in border surveillance.
the study case is the refugee crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border where I looked deeper into the controversial topic, of how much the human body can be abstracted and objectified for the sake to protect the EU external border.
the portrayal of people does have a huge impact on the viewer's opinion and the justification of their actions. it is essential to consider sensitive socio-political topics, such as refugees trapped in a non-defined space.
